At Co-ops across Western Canada and at Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL), management, staff, directors and owners are working hard to advance Co-op’s ambitious sustainability efforts.

Co-op has a long history of respecting the environment, contributing to the communities we serve, delivering strong financial performance for our member-owners, advancing the co-operative business model and being a strong employer, but we aspire to achieve even more in these five key areas.

We Care encompasses Co-op’s commitment in these important initiatives. Throughout the entire Co-operative Retailing System, we’re working hard to reduce our impact on the environment - and increase our impact on our communities. We are buying more local products than ever before, growing our membership base and employing more Canadians. We are also continuing our long-standing commitment to communities across Western Canada, supporting important efforts in health care, research, youth support and many others.
